What an incredible, crazy few weeks it has been. An end of an era and the beginning of a new one. With the heartbreaking death and funeral of our wonderful gracious Queen Elizabeth II and the ascension of our new King Charles III, and a new prime minister all at the same time. So much to take in. We all grew up with the queen, constantly appearing on our TV screens, heartbreaking to think she has gone. After her death we all came together in solidarity and we bereaved, we mourned and we all cried. We went to lay flowers at Buckingham Palace like thousands of other well wishers and even stumbled upon other religious venues paying their respects in their own places of worship. Wonderful experience.

My son went back to school after almost an 8 week holiday, and most parents went back to full work mode, but everything got thrown into disarray with the royal death, and an added bank holiday. For me personally it was a double disappointment as I was due to complete the charity walk for my favourite cause; ‘London Memory Walk’ for the Alzheimer’s Society’. I was so looking forward to it and even created these flyers below, unfortunately it got postponed to October. I will be ready with my favorite walking boots. For ‘ Every step you take at Memory Walk will help give hope to the 900,000 people in the UK with dementia now, and in the future.’

Meanwhile I am looking forward to a quick cultural visit to Marrakech with my lovely girlfriends at the end of September 🙂
