Wanna treat someone you REALLY care about to a fabulous sushi meal? Think and look no further. Mitsuhiro Araki’s celebrated restaurant Araki ‘is not simply dining, but an experience.’ One set menu of mostly raw fish and shellfish, limited to only nine seats at the chef’s counter, this really is a cut above the rest. (just make sure you don’t sit next to a suit, sitting with his back to you speaking very loudly, as I had the good fortune of experiencing 🙂 Let the chefs do their magic. I promise you, you will not be dissapointed. Oh and don’t be late.
Walking with Ghosts
What do you do when Instagram offers you the chance to go and see one of your favourite actors, live on stage? You immediately book the best tickets possible, doll yourself up, and rush to the London Apollo Theatre. A haunting performance, minimalist production and an honest insight to his life, it’s simply the wonderful Gabriel Byrne telling his story in his own words, and the ghosts he carries with him. 15 performances only, before Mr Byrne leaves the British isles to perform in NYC, I had a small window to watch the masterclass performance. Fortunate enough to leave a copy of ‘The light of darkness’ for the man himself, I do hope he will read it. A charismatic storyteller, it would have been a dream come true if Gabriel had agreed to be the voice for my audio book 🙂 The search for the perfect voice continues…..
